Aqua-Pure drain line tip
When installing your drain line the drain MUST be sized according to run length and relative height. It is estimated that around 80% of the problems with backwashing units start with the drain line, it is also
important to also make sure that you don’t bend the flexible tubing enough to “kink”. If kinking occurs the drain line MUST be replaced. Typical examples of proper DRAIN LINE diameters are as follows:
½” ID up to 15 feet when discharge is lower than INLET.
5/8” ID up to 15 feet when discharge is slightly higher than
the INLET.
¾” ID when drain is 25 ft away and/or drain is overhead.
